My own dog has done so a coupe of times all it takes is a squirrel or a cat to catch his attention and he is ready to give chase. Luckily we have a high fence otherwise I am sure he would have jumped it by now and run of in pursuit of the cat or squirrel and the adventure it brings - even now he is 11 he still loves to chase squirrels in the woods.
